Couples and families can rebuild trust, lower conflict and increase intimacy by addressing underlying issues and communication patterns that may be affecting them. Couples counseling cultivates greater self-awareness, empowering individuals to recognize and communicate their needs more effectively. Christian Counseling

Christian-based counseling offers individuals a unique blend of systems-based counseling and faith-based counseling rooted in Biblical principles. Counselors are trained to gain understanding into each person’s belief system and help the client utilize their relationship with God to help integrate their Spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic process. This process helps clients better integrate all aspects of their life offering solace and direction amidst life's challenges. By incorporating the client’s theology, scripture, unique beliefs, prayer, and values into counseling sessions, our highly trained counselors and therapists can provide a framework for healing and personal growth that aligns with the psychological, sociological, biological, and spiritual convictions of individuals, couples, and families.

Clients find reassurance in the understanding that their struggles are seen through the lens of Christ’s love and purpose. This approach fosters not only emotional and mental well-being but also a deepening of one's relationship with God, offering hope and restoration in the journey towards wholeness. Christ calls us to love God and love others. We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in this world helping Christ followers, like us, love others where they are in life and help them discover deeper more fulfilling relationships with others in their own lives. Our therapists will not push their beliefs on to their clients, instead, they will help their clients use and strengthen their own relationship with God to better help them in their relationships with their partner or family.

Trauma Counseling

Trauma counseling, employing modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and/or Internal Family Systems (IFS), offers deep and profound healing for people navigating the aftermath of traumatic experiences, whether recent or from earlier in life. EMDR facilitates the reprocessing of distressing memories, allowing clients to integrate those emotions more adaptively, and can rapidly alleviate symptoms of PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and other problematic mental disorders.

Internal Family Systems approach to psychotherapy or counseling uses a framework of parts-based language to help clients heal by connecting with their shielding and hurt inner parts. IFS helps clients discover their core self and use that core to reconnect with and heal the relationships between their conflicted inner parts.

Play Therapy for Kids

Play therapy offers kids a safe and natural space to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences when they may or may not have the language skills to effectively communicate those mental processes to adults. Through various types of play, children communicate, process, and make sense of their world, fostering emotional intelligence and resilience. Therapists, also called counselors, utilize toys such as building blocks, puppets, games, dolls, sandboxes, punching bags, and various types of art mediums to engage children in therapeutic activities designed to promote self-expression and exploration.

Play therapy allows children to develop better coping skills, improve social interactions, and resolve conflicts in a supportive non-threatening environment. Through hourly sessions and communication with parents and guardians, our play therapist builds a healthy relationship with the child and family helping the child to overcome difficulties, build self-respect, and develop healthier boundaries and relationships.
